full house

We've been living in a full house lately. Bret and I have been crashing at my parent’s place for the past couple (ok several) months while we’ve been waiting to hear back about Bret’s job. Through the month of July my sister and her little family have been staying at my parent's too as they are also in transition between living in NYC and moving to California. That brings our home-body count number to 7 adults, 1 toddler and 2 birdies in a pear tree (just kidding, they have a cage). This doesn’t even include all the times my other two sisters and their kids come over to play, which is often.

Sure it sounds like fun but between having to share bathrooms, lines for laundry access and babies sleeping in closets, it hasn’t been easy. And yet as we all go our separate ways this week, I’m a little sad to see it end. I have a feeling my parents may feel differently. They've been nothing short of saintly for putting up with us. They have a group in their neighborhood called “The Empty Nesters” that gets together for dinners and such. Perhaps now they’ll actually qualify for this group.

p.s. Apparently they have a show in Korea called Full House cause if you google it you'll get pictures like this:

That Full House cast picture is so legendary. It even features Steve, DJ's boyfriend (wasn't he the voice of Aladdin?). And I wonder if that's Mary-Kate or Ashley...

I have butterflies in my stomache looking at this picture of the Full House crew. I loved that show so much!

P.S. I think your parents are going to be sad to see everyone go.

While I'm making a connection between my family and the Tanner family, let me also say this:

-My sister Jenni, though she hates us saying so, has consistently looked like Candice Cameron (DJ) throughout the course of both their lives. Everytime Jenni would cut or dye her hair, sure enough DJ had the same hair-do the following season. Someone actually saw Candice Cameron once in a store and talked to her thinking it was my sister. True story.

-In addition to that, I think my niece Emma looks a lot like Stephanie in the face and my niece Isabelle looks just like Michelle at this age. There is also a striking resemblance between Bret's dad and Danny Tanner(this is Bret's observation, I'm merely agreeing with it).

Please don't tell me I look like Kimmie. But Michael does kind of look like Uncle Jesse. :)
