the fourth of july

I love America. I also love BBQs and popsicles. It's a good thing we have July 4th to honor all of these great things.

Neighborhood parade with the Cannons.

At the end of the parade a firetruck shot water from its hose into the air, making it rain. We enjoyed the spectacle while maintaining a safe distance.

Udall family BBQ (minus the Bowens and my brother Jim this year). Bret chose to embody July 4th circa 1976 with his hair and stache.

Ethan liked the fireworks. Sort of.

It was a fun day but I was just happy to be celebrating it with Bret, who was in a different country last year, and Ethan who was still in my tummy. As I recall, he jumped at the fireworks last year, too.
