summer in review

This past summer has been particularly delightful. I can't really determine what it was that made it so great but it was great nonetheless. Perhaps it's because that life and so many of those lovely people I spent it with seem so far away now....

Here are some, ok a lot of, pictures from this summer that I never put up.

Golfing at the Homestead

Megan and I playing house with Caitlin's cute baby stuff.
Bees game with the fam
Thai food dinner with the Rigbys
followed by  ice cream of course.

Birthday fun with the cutest kids around
Bret tells me this is how it'll look when he greets me in heaven.
Meriel's baby shower
I love this picture. Megan shoved a glass in front of the lens just in time. Punk.
Confirming that babies come from the stork (fully clothed and with a stuffed monkey).

our own DJ Nathan.
Did I ever mention how much I love the the fourth?
yep, that's my family
My niece Emma's baptism day
Trip to the pool with the Scotts. Matt was a gimp all summer.
Bret spent a good part of the summer helping my dad refurbish his '67 mustang. This gave us plenty of excuses to take it for a spin....

... to places like this
for one of these. Mmmm.

Leaving my job.

Melinda's Wedding

It's been a good summer. Luckily we get to see these two fun people (above) when they come stay with this weekend! (Forgive me for not having any picturess of our new place yet, the conditions aren't quite picture worthy but I'll put them up as soon as it becomes so.)

My favorite parts of this post:
(1) Bret greeting you in heaven
(2) Your blue dress! It's fabulous! Where is it from?
